Kurien Koshy Yohannan

My name is Kurien Koshy Yohannan (Koshy for short!!) and my photography
venture goes by the name of Black Stallion Photography.

Photography started off as a hobby for me but now it plays a major role in my life. There is so much beauty around us; nature is full of beauty waiting for us to capture it, if we have the eye and receptiveness for it. I intend to capture this beauty through my camera lens for all to enjoy and behold. Through my photography I would like people to appreciate the world we live in and hope that it may provide a renewed enthusiasm for people to safeguard the beautiful planet that we call home. We tend to take Planet Earth for granted and we tend to abuse it and I for one, through my photography, would like to be a catalyst for people to safeguard what we have been entrusted with – this beautiful planet called Earth.

My favourite photographic subjects are landscapes, nature and wildlife. There is endless beauty contained in these subjects and I love capturing the beauty that is all around. The planet we live in is filled with endless species of plants and animals, each with its own set of unique features and beauty and I am certain that these subjects will keep me busy for some time to come. These may be the most photographed subjects in the world but I intend to offer a different slant, if possible, through my images. Along with varied flora and fauna, the world’s topography is varied and beautiful in its many forms and that is another thing that fascinates me and often times takes my breath away. Another favourite subject is what I term as Skyscapes – patterns in the sky. In our hurried and busy life, I am sure that very few of us take the time to look up at the sky above us to see the beauty that lies literally above our heads. No two sunrises or sunsets are ever the same and one could make a career out of capturing sunrises and sunsets and not many photographs would be the same.

Many roads lead to Black Stallion Country. Feel free to take one and drop by
anytime. We’d love to see you there.
